2nd BioRiver Member Forum in Duesseldorf, sponsored by Biotech & Pharma Logistics

On 17th September more than 30 pharma- and biotechnology companies followed the invitation to the 2nd BioRiver Member Forum to gain insights into the handling of temperature-sensitive airfreight at Düsseldorf Airport. Thilo Gronich accepted the thanksgiving on behalf of the BPL management from BioRiver e.V. for the organization of the forum, whereupon Uwe Becker (B.P.L. GmbH) initiated the discussion with a presentation on “GDP-compliant Risk control of temperature-controlled airfreight”. The well-versed auditorium seized the opportunity to ask specific questions and to exchange own experiences and problems in logistical processes. Gerton Hulsmann also presented the Düsseldorf Airport Cargo Center (DACC) and the current challenges of pharmaceutical logistics in ground handling. This was followed by a tour within the DUS Pharma warehouse including the newly purchased “Cool Dollies” to avoid temperature deviations on tarmac.
